A popular night

The event on Wednesday, March 21st, was a big success. Well over a hundred people attended the 6 shows of the Cosmic Dome at Alford Public Hall and their responses were very positive. Many of those who braved the rain hoping for the telescopic tour of the night sky at the Grampian Transport Museum, were treated instead to a very informative talk by Darren Moody, Aberdeen Astronomical Society - which proved a popular wet weather alternative.

A special thanks to the residents and businesses who switched off unnecessary lights and appliances in the evening (including the Haughton Hotel, Vale Hotel, and Clydesdale Bank).

We are especially grateful to our Sponsors, Allan Grant and ACG Contracts Ltd, without whom the event would not have been possible.

You can be sure the Grampian Life Forum will bring another bright new idea to fruition in the future!
