North Sea Salad

  • 1 jar of rollmops with onions
  • Corn salad (or another lettuce)
  • Shrimps or prawns (or both)
  • 3 eggs, hard-boiled
  • 3 or 4 potatoes
  • 1 bundle of radish
  • Fresh herbs (dill, chives, parsley)
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Cream
  • Pink pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper

Methods/steps

Wash corn salad.
Wash and slice radish.
Slice eggs.
Thickly chop rollmops.

Arrange corn salad on large plates. Add radish slices, egg slices, shrimps or prawns, rollmops and a few onions from the jar.
Season with salt and pepper.

Mix cream with lemon juice, fresh herbs, pink pepper, mustard, salt and pepper.

Boil potatoes with their jackets. Peel and dice them. Add warm dices to the salad and serve immediately.

Each person helps oneself to the sauce.

Additional Tips

For more crispness, you can sprinkle crushed sea salt on the salad.

And smoked trout makes for a yummy plus to this colourful salad.
