This is the last day of this exhibition.

We live in a time of wars and threats of terror and so it was in the 1930s. Seventy years ago, in Spring of 1937, John Landragan left Aberdeen to fight on the side of the Spanish working class and for the Republic against Franco's fascism. He was one of the first of nineteen men who left the city to fight in Spain. Five died there. They were men of their time, living in an era of economic depression and unemployment when class struggle loomed large .
