Cillan Murphy is a young trans-sexual growing up in the 1970s. Adapted from a novel by Patrick McCabe. Calling himself kitten he embarks on a Dickensian journey of self-discovery that leads him to a London under attack by the IRA. Along the way he meets the usual rag bag of interesting characters, enduring set backs and beatings but with hope of a better future.
