Expression of interest

**Latest News**

For those who have expressed their interest, thanks again and apologies for the unexpectedly slow development of the project. Talks are ongoing and looking very positive, both with a local authority and charities.

The privacy of those who express their interest will never be compromised and those who express interest will be contacted by GrampianLife when decisions need to be made.

The significant and growing number of interested members has developed into a strong position for negotiation. Further expressions of interest are still very welcome.

In this time of inflated oil prices, some of us have been investigating the possibility of setting up a buying group so it won't cost an arm and leg to keep warm. By combining buyer power, co-operative buying groups are able to attract significant savings from energy suppliers. Of course the discount will rise with the number of folk involved.

More info: Energy Buying Group  » Expressions of interest!

Thanks to all who have responded to the positive publicity we've been receiving, including the Piper and Herald and the Press and Journal  (Households warm to the idea of saving on heating oil costs 17/9/08).

We are looking at various avenues of support and the various structures the organisation can assume.

To keep admin down in the early stages we're keeping everything online.

Please continue to encourage all of your relatives, friends, neighbours, work buddies to sign up. If you know one or more people without internet access who'd like to register their interest, please send a message (by clicking Contact) with the following information

  • Name
  • your postal code (the first part)
  • type of fuel used (oil or LPG)
  • quantity (estimated annual usage in litres)
  • type of house (traditional stone or new-build post 80s)

You can read more details and browse through the 140 posts from people who have already expressed their interest in this Forum discussion: Energy Buying Group  » Expressions of interest! (This Forum discussion is now locked. Please use the link above to register your interest)
